STOP MOTION ANIMATION
School project: Studio Arts

This final project was created for my last sculpture making class of Cegep. Free to create anything that we pleased, I decided to pursue my love of nature. This stop motion animation was one of a three-part project. My intention in making this short video was to show how humans impact the environment in a negative way. By placing a fragile, leaf-less tree in the middle of the screen emphasizes the effect of isolation. As the tree’s growth gradually diminishes the viewers are faced with one of life’s realities: we as a society must do our part to help the environment. 240 still frames were merged as one, to create an environmental stop motion animation.
